about

About 170ks north-east of Alice Springs, in a very remote central desert community of the Northern territory Australia, sits the community of Akaye (Mulga Bore). A place of great history and ceremony of the Anmatyerre, where an amazing legacy story is unfolding. A bright light is shining out of the red dirt, Mulga Bore Hard Rock band on their road to the stars!

Alvin the 17 year old singer song writer and lead guitar first came across KISS on YouTube when he was learning to play and fell in love with the music, the clothes the make-up and the whole vibe.
This family band is made up of his brothers and cousins, under the guide of their parents, aunties and uncles and they play KISS covers as well as their own original Rock’n’Roll songs inspired by KISS and rock music from the 60’s, 70’s 80’s and 90’s.

From a music video workshop in Alice Springs, winning the regional battle of the school bands NT for best song and best band, to supporting music legends KISS at their very last show in Australia, Mulga Bore Hard Rock have a work ethic which matches their passion and an ambition to conquer the world!

While youth crime, is a focus of some sections of the Northern Territory, there is a much more positive story happening here and young people such as the Mulga Bore Hard Rock band are leading the way creating better opportunities for Aboriginal youth.
